DCSPE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS:

Board meetings are held on the first Friday of each month at the University of the District of Columbia, 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW. Meetings begin at 11:45 AM in Building 42, Dean's office, 2nd floor. All are welcome. Lunch is $10.00. Please contact Margaret Brach at (202) 686-3791.

Engineering and Government: DCSPE members can have dinner with the ASME Washington Fellows, who are spending a year in Washington advising The White House and Congress on technology issues. The Washington Alumni Chapter of Tau Beta Pi will also be joining us for the meeting.

Our evening will include a buffet dinner, a talk by NSPE President-Elect Aldrich, and the installation of DCSPE officers.
 
Bradley F. Aldrich, P.E., F. NSPE was recently named President-Elect of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He is a founding partner and Vice President of a successful engineering consulting business, Forcier Aldrich & Associates, Inc. The firm specializes in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering for municipal clients. Brad Aldrich has served as President and National Director of the Vermont Society of Professional Engineers. He was a founding member of the Vermont Engineers Council, a coalition of Vermont's engineering societies and he chaired the Council for its first three years. In 2003 the Governor of Vermont appointed Brad Aldrich to the board of the Vermont Hydro-Electric Power Authority and he was elected its chair. He received his B.S.C.E. cum laude in 1981 from the University of Vermont.
 
The buffet dinner will be preceded by several excellent hors d'oeuvres. The entrees will include lots of things you like. There will also be salad, vegetables, and assorted desserts.
 
There is free parking in the lot behind the Knights of Columbus Hall. The entrance to the parking lot is around the corner on Garrison Street.
